Piercing irritates
There is nothing more annoying as a piercing that irritates or is infected. It is important to always take good care of your piercings, especially if a piercing has just been pierced.
The most important steps to prevent irritation are:
- Never touch your piercing with your hands
- Do not clean too much
- Make sure your hair doesn't get stuck in your piercing
- Avoid the swimming pool and/or sauna if you have just had your piercing done
- Give the piercing enough rest and don't change it too soon after piercing
- The quality or the material of your jewellery
To take the best possible care of a piercing it is recommended to clean it once a day. It is important not to use aggressive detergents, but a mild soap like unicare with water or a saline solution. Make sure that after cleaning all soap residue is rinsed away.
